2008–09 Meal Plans

Dining Pass Tiers

These tiers offer meal plan options with a set number of Dining Passes and Dining Dollars in varying amounts, depending upon how much, what, and where you want to eat.

Dining Passes can be used only for access to Market Central and The Perch at Sutherland or for take-out meals in the Market To-Go area. Each time you enter Market Central and The Perch at Sutherland or use the Market To-Go area for a take-out meal, a Dining Pass will be deducted from your account. Plans within the Dining Pass Tiers allow you to use up to ten (10) Dining Passes in one day provided the meals are for the plan-holder.

If you desire to take friends or family members to dine-in at Market Central and The Perch at Sutherland, you simply use Dining Passes. You may use a maximum of three Dining Passes, one for yourself and two for guests, per meal period.

Only the Dining Dollars segment of the meal plans are acceptable at our other dining facilities on campus. Dining Passes and Dining Dollars are good for the entire semester; if they are not used by the end of the semester, the remaining balance is forfeited.

Refer to Help with Choosing A Meal Plan for a useful guide to determining your meal plan needs. Or, for ultimate flexibility, simply choose a plan in the Ultimate Access Tier and enter Market Central and The Perch at Sutherland as many times as you wish.

Meal Plan Policies

All students residing in residence halls are required to purchase a meal plan. Students residing in apartment-style accommodations may purchase a meal plan, but are not required to do so. In the event that you do not receive University Housing, you will need to apply for a meal plan by contacting Panther Central.

Dining facilities are open when undergraduate classes are in session and accept meal plans during the school term with the following exceptions: Thanksgiving Recess and Winter Recess. During Spring Break students may use the Dining Dollars portion of their meal plan at dining facilities which are open during that week.

You may change your meal plan for the 2008 fall term anytime before September 5, 2008. For the 2009 spring term, you have until January 16, 2008 to change plans. Download a meal plan change form and submit to Panther Central.
