Determine Your Eligibility to Participate in Suite and Apartment-style
To be eligible for Suite and Apartment-style Selection, the number of students must equal the designated suite or apartment capacity, and all students must have completed a housing application by January 20. A student may only participate as a member of one group. Any student found to be a part of more than one group, including a Living Learning Community, voids Suite Selection for the members of all associated groups.
Suite and Apartment-style Selection
Each group is required to complete a Suite and Apartment-style Bid Form and to nominate a group leader on the form. The Suite and Apartment-style Form will be available online in January and must be completed by January 20, 2026.
Important: If students currently living together as part of a suite or apartment want to retain the suite or apartment but no longer want to live together, all students in the suite or apartment must follow the normal Suite and Apartment-style Selection process
Suite and Apartment-style Bid Process
A bid process is used to determine Suite and Apartment-style Selection based on the information provided on the Suite and Apartment-style Form. Each student of the suite or apartment group is given points for their academic class as follows: rising juniors = 3 points, rising sophomores = 2 points. Panther Central determines the selection order among the groups based on the highest bid total. The lowest Housing Selection Lottery Number in each group is used to break ties among groups.
Suite and Apartment-style Bid Instructions
- Log on to the housing portal.
- Select Apply Here next to the 2026-2027 Housing Application.
- Pay your $325 Housing Deposit.
- Complete your Housing Application by January 20, 2026.
- Once your housing application is submitted, the group leader must complete the Suite and Apartment-Style Bid Form located on the housing portal by Jan. 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
- The group leader will invite all group members to be members of the group
- All group members must accept the group invitation.
- Once all group members have accepted, the bid is complete.
- Housing will sort through all submitted bids.
- Housing will post the bid winners on February 10, 2026, at 1 p.m.
- Suite and Apartment-style Selection takes place online on February 17 - February 19, 2026.
When & Where Suite and Apartment-style Selection Takes Place
On February 10, 2026, at 1 p.m., Panther Central will post a schedule on our Selection Central homepage, indicating when each group is scheduled for Suite and Apartment-style Selection.
Suite and Apartment-style Selection takes place online on February 17 - February 19, 2026. Group leaders must be prepared to make suite, apartment, and room selections for all students.
Guaranteed students who are unable to participate in the Suite and Apartment-style Selection process may participate in General Room Selection with their appropriate class.
