Like all other food service providers, Chartwells' operations at Pitt are subject to Allegheny County Health Department inspections year-round. Inspections ensure that facilities and operations comply with industry-standard best practices. The process enables Pitt to monitor Chartwells' food service operators at the University and to improve safety practices and policies.
