All University-owned apartments are rented on a one-year lease. The apartments are unfurnished (Residences on Bigelow is fully furnished) and located in several neighborhoods close to the University of Pittsburgh. Please explore the available options below.

University-Owned Apartment Eligibility
- Undergraduate and Transfer Students
Undergraduate students are not required to live on campus and may choose to reside in University-owned apartments or off-campus housing.
If you are an undergraduate student, you may be eligible to live in the University’s residence halls. More information is available for guaranteed upper-class students, undergraduate students without guaranteed on-campus housing, and transfer students. To discuss your eligibility for on-campus housing accommodations, contact Panther Central.
- Graduate Students/PostDocs
Graduate and PostDoc students are unable to live in on-campus accommodations and must choose to reside in University-owned apartments or independently owned off-campus apartments.
- International Students
If you are an undergraduate student, you may be eligible to live in one of the University’s residence halls. Contact Panther Central to determine if you have a housing guarantee or need to be placed on the non-guaranteed waitlist. However, you are not required to live on campus and may choose to reside in a University-owned apartment or an independently owned off-campus apartment.
Graduate students and visiting scholars are not eligible to live in the University’s residence halls and will need to reside in University-owned apartments or off-campus accommodations.
